In the course of experts training in SSS NDT special attention is paid to current problems occurring in practice during the equipment expert review and lifetime assessment. Differences and advantages of the metal magnetic memory (MMM) method compared to other methods of SSS NDT.

In contrast to the old criteria of the material's state assessment used in the Materials' Strength Theory the training course considers the new physical criteria reflecting the physical state of the metal in local stress concentration zones – the sources of equipment damages occurrence and development.

The lectures for students are based on the fundamental work by V.T. Vlasov and A.A. Dubov "Physical Theory of the Strain-Failure Process" (Moscow: ZAO Tisso, 2007).
